No! You are free to choose the company you want to handle your damage repair and restoration. Many insurance companies have companies they recommend, but it is not required. PCC Cleaning & Restoration is, however, proud to be one of the companies recommended by many local insurance companies and adjusters because of the speed and quality of our service.

The first step we recommend is calling our office at 866-707-4PCC (4722) to get our team on the way to assess the damage and stop any further damage from occurring. The sooner we can get started usually means the less overall damage you may have! And always contact your insurance company as soon as you are safe to let them know you have a loss and start the claims process. Each restoration project is unique, and there is no set time frame for completion. Our highly skilled Team will assess the damage and give you a written estimate of the scope of your project including the time involved to repair and restore the damage as soon as possible.

IICRC stand for Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. The IICRC has served as the Industry Guardian for the cleaning, inspection and restoration service industries for more than 30 years. As a non-profit certification organization, the IICRC helps ensure that you have access to trusted and trained cleaning professionals by establishing and monitoring certification programs and standards for these industries. To qualify for IICRC Certification, firms must demonstrate proof of insurance, maintain a written customer complaint policy with documented follow-up procedures, and provide ongoing education and training to maintain certification for all technicians. IICRC Certified Firms are also required to abide by the IICRC Code of Ethics.

Yes, we gladly work with all insurance companies and will deal directly with your adjuster to agree upon the scope and cost of the work to be performed. This helps to ensure that repairs needed are covered, and will be paid to the fullest extent possible by the insurance company to minimize your out-of-pocket expense.

Water Damage Questions

  • If at all possible, shut off the water source.
  • Start removing as much water as possible by mopping, wiping, blotting, or using a wet-dry vacuum, etc.
  • If the water is in the ceiling, punch small holes to help relieve trapped water.
  • Move all wet clothing, bedding, and other fabric materials to a dry area.
  • Remove all paintings/pictures from wet walls or areas and move to a dry area.
  • Place plastic bags or wrap under the legs of large furniture to prevent wicking.

Drying time may vary from one property to another depending on several factors such as source of water, types of building materials, weather conditions, and how quickly restoration services are initiated. For us to achieve the best results, we will closely monitor the dry out process. This may include moving, adding, or removing equipment and checking humidity and temperature readings to ensure your property is returned to its pre-loss condition quickly. The complete drying process generally takes 3 to 5 days.

No, we really need to keep the equipment running continuously during the drying process. By turning off the equipment it will prolong the dry out process and may increase the chance of mold growth.

Fire Damage Questions

Yes we can! PCC Cleaning & Restoration is a full-service fire damage restoration company. Our fully trained professionals can handle all aspects of your fire damage situation. We will begin by securing your property to prevent vandalism or robbery, which is actually common in fire damage scenarios, and protecting it from the elements such as covering the roof with tarps, etc. We will then begin the process of cleanup and repair, including cleaning and restoration of your personal belongings and furniture that are able to be saved, extraction of water and clean-up of all debris from the property. The next phase will be the rebuilding process where the structure will be repaired and odor removal and structural cleaning will be performed. When PCC Cleaning & Restoration completes the project, your property will be like it never had been in a fire!

An initial assessment of your personal items will be made and a complete inventory will be taken. We will do our best to restore your contents to a pre-loss condition. If we are not able to restore any items we will set them aside to be itemized and turned in to your insurance adjuster. No contents are disposed of without your written consent as well as approval from your insurance adjuster. Items which are deemed salvageable, once inventoried, are carefully packed, moved off site and stored in our secured facility. These contents are then processed in our warehouse and stored until your repairs are completed. Once the repairs are completed, the processed contents are moved back to your home or business. A detailed inventory will be provided.

If the damage was extensive you will probably have to move out temporarily. Fortunately, your standard homeowner’s policy should cover the costs of relocation during cleanup. We know how stressful it can be to not have access to your home, so we will work quickly to get you back into your property as soon as possible so you can get back to your life.
